Supplemental Terms and Conditions – Taxi Cashback

These Supplemental Terms and Conditions (“Supplemental Terms”) govern the one-off promotional cashback reward (“Taxi Cashback”) offered by Xapo Bank to eligible customers and are in addition to, and should be read together with, the Xapo Terms & Conditions and the Xapo Visa Card Terms or Mastercard Xapo Card Terms (as applicable). 

Capitalised terms used but not defined herein have the meanings given to them in the Xapo Visa Card Terms or Mastercard Xapo Card Terms (as applicable). 

By participating in this promotion, you agree to be bound by these Supplemental Terms.

1. Eligibility

1.1. This promotion is open only to eligible customers who are Metal Card holders.

1.2. To be eligible customers must have an active Metal card linked to their Xapo account 

2. Promotional Reward

2.1. Eligible customers will receive 3% cashback on the value of all Qualifying Transactions completed during the Promotion Period.

3. Qualifying Transactions

3.1. A "Qualifying Transaction" is any transaction that meets all of the following criteria:

(a) is categorized under the Merchant Category Code (MCC) 4121, which designates "Taxicabs and Limousines";

(b) is completed during the Promotion Period; and

(c) to be eligible the customer must have an active Metal card associated to their Xapo account at the time of the transaction. 

3.2. Included services encompass traditional taxi fleets, modern app-based ride-hailing services (e.g., Uber, Lyft), and private hire vehicle operators, provided they use the correct MCC.

3.3. Xapo Bank cannot guarantee the payment of the Taxi Cashback if a merchant does not classify the transaction under MCC 4121.

4. Promotion Period

4.1. The promotion will run from July 1st 2026 00:00 UTC to August 31st 2026 23:59 UTC (the "Promotion Period"). 

4.2. Only transactions completed within the Promotion Period will be eligible for the Taxi Cashback.

5. Payment of Taxi Cashback

5.1. The Taxi Cashback will be credited on the 5th day of the month following the Qualifying Transaction.

5.2. The credited funds will be paid into the customer's Xapo account in accordance with the terms of the Xapo Visa Card Terms or Mastercard Xapo Card Terms (as applicable).

6. Disputes

6.1. Any disputes or queries relating to the Taxi Cashback must be raised with Xapo Bank within thirty (30) days of the date of the Qualifying Transaction.

6.2. Xapo Bank reserves the right to request documentation or evidence to verify the disputed transaction.

7. Fraud and Misuse

7.1. Xapo Bank reserves the right to:

(a) disqualify any customer from this promotion;

(b) withhold or cancel any Taxi Cashback; and

(c) recover any Taxi Cashback already paid, if Xapo Bank reasonably believes that the customer has engaged in fraud, misuse, or any attempt to manipulate or abuse this promotion.

8. General Provisions

8.1. Xapo Bank reserves the right to amend, extend, suspend, or terminate this promotion at any time without prior notice.

8.2. This promotion is non-transferable and has no cash alternative other than as expressly stated in these Supplemental Terms.

8.3. In the event of any inconsistency between these Supplemental Terms and the Xapo Visa Card Terms or Mastercard Xapo Card Terms (as applicable), these Supplemental Terms will prevail, but only to the extent necessary to govern this promotion.
